BIOGRAPHY

Dizzy AKA Raw D.I. is a hometown favorite of the New Orleans, LA rap scene. With several regional hits and a respectable catalog, he consistently releases good music to his loyal fans.

Dizzy began putting out albums in 1999 with his group Tragedy, which consisted of himself and recent G-Unit signee Nutt Da Kidd. That gained the attention of Cash Money artist Lil’ Wayne who recruited him for his newly formed Young Money Ent imprint, and he became a member of it’s first group SQAD UP in 2001. Dizzy was featured on numerous Young Money mixtapes during that time. In 2004, He started releasing solo projects and caught his first hit in 2005 with the song 1000 Miles To Downtown, which paid homage to his hometown and hood. While continuing to tour with Lil’ Wayne and put out projects with the group Young Money, who at the time consisted of himself, Mack Maine and Currensy, Dizzy launched his own venture P.C.O. Entertainment in 2006 with DJ Raj Smoove who was also a Young Money affiliate. Through his independent label, he has released From The Ground Up, On The Inside Looking Out, Luv 4 Da Streets, and The Raw Report. In 2007, Dizzy’s song “Work Ya Elbows” certified him as a star and secured him a spot in power rotation on WQUE FM for several weeks.

Dizzy continued to hit the road off and on with Young Money up until 2011 and was last featured on Lil’ Wayne’s Sorry 4 Tha Wait mixtape. Most recently he has been in the studio focused on finishing his new masterpiece “The Gift and The Curse.” Even with a decade plus in the music industry, Dizzy is not satisfied with what he has done. He is more concerned with what he is doing. With this hunger for more, Dizzy is pushing his creativity to bring fresh ideas to the music game but still keep it infused with his street background.
